Red Eyed Tree Frogs are green to match the colour of the rain forest leaves they live in.

Tree frogs make a type of suction with their feet to hold onto shiny leaves.

When a predator comes near a Red Eyed Tree Frog it will open its eyes and show its belly revealing all of its colour in a quick flash to confuse the predator.

Tree frogs are threatened by habitat loss, climate change and disease.

​

The donation from this Wildlife Wizards badge goes to Cairns Frog Hospital who rescue and rehabilitate frogs in far north Queensland.
