Devil Defender

devil-defender.jpg

Tasmanian Devils are very territorial marsupials. They live in dens. They make a scary sound to scare off other devils from their food, and that’s how they got the name ‘devils’.

Tasmanian devils are extinct from the mainland of Australia. They are threatened by cars and a disease called Devil Facial Tumour Disease that spreads between them when they fight.

The donation from this Wildlife Wizards badge goes to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, who help rescue and look after Tassie devils who have been injured, or are sick.
